Leopold Centerstatement

Gary Huber raising a toast

 20th Anniversary Logo

The Leopold Center was established at Iowa State University through the passage of the Iowa Groundwater Protection Act in 1987. This landmark legislation recognized the importance of agriculture to Iowa's economy and the protection of natural resources and improvement of rural economies as essential for Iowa's future.

Building on the Past, Growing for the Future

We invite you to listen to the land, learn from the legacy and look toward a positive future for Iowa's natural resources, people and communities. Go to 20th Anniversary Conference web page
