The investigators seek to increase the competitiveness of grazing livestock systems in Iowa by developing a Master Grazier Certification Program for Iowa State University. This project builds on the successful Center-funded “Greenhorn Grazing” program. It will focus on farmer adoption and adaption of practices, building mentoring skills and developing social networks.
Byron Leu
Byron Leu is a beef feed specialist in ISU’s cooperative extension field program. His areas of expertise include beef, swine and sheep production. The areas in which he specializes include ration development, performance and financial projections, swine facilities and genetic improvement, among others. Leu is coordinator of the CHIPS program.
