Here is an expansion of a previous Leopold Center competitive grant (M2009-23), which supported the development of a basic semi-automated mechanical intra-row weed removal system for vegetable crops. The investigators will conduct field trials to evaluate and improve the prototype.

Lie Tang

Lie Tang Lie Tang is an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University. His research has been concerned with agricultural automation, optimization, machine intelligence and robotics. He has many years of international experience in Europe and the United States.
