Educational presentation on reducing fossil fuel needs on Iowa’s small to mid-sized farms

Abstract

This project funded four videos featuring Iowa farmers who have used energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy on their farms. The Farm Energy Working Group developed the videos as part of an educational presentation for Iowa farmers and food leaders.

Key Question: What are additional ways the Farm Energy Working Group (FEWG) can provide education and outreach to farmers on Iowa’s small to mid-sized farms to help reduce their fossil fuel use?

Findings: FEWG developed four videos of Iowa farmers who have used energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy on their farms, available on the FEWG website and YouTube.
