This year's speaker, Andrew Revkin, covered global environmental issues for the New York Times for 15 years and continues to write for their Dot Earth blog. His reports have ranged from Hurricane Katrina and the Asian tsunami to the assault on the Amazon and the troubled relationship of climate science and politics. Revkin is currently a senior fellow at Pace University's Academy for Applied Environmental Sciences. His career has included positions with Discover, the Los Angeles Times, and Science Digest.
