Practical Farmers of Iowa will feature keynote speaker Fedele Bauccio, CEO and cofounder of Bon Appétit Management Company, which spends over $55 million annually on food from within a 150-mile radius of each of its 400 locations.

The event features multiple sessions on field crops, fruit and vegetable production, grazing, profitable enterprises, on-farm energy, cooking, local foods, and partnerships between farmers and friends of farmers.  New this year will be a Soils 101 short course, running January 12 in the afternoon through the morning of January 13 (before the start of the full conference). Also scheduled are Friday afternoon workshops, an Iowa lunch on Saturday, and a variety of breakout sessions throughout the day on Saturday.

The Leopold Center is among the major sponsors of this conference.
