Paperwork can be the bane of the certified-organic, GAPs-audited, and financially-aware farmer. Learn how to capture information, get on top of your paperwork, and wow your inspector, auditor, and banker. Rock Spring Farm’s Chris Blanchard will provide an overview of the basic techniques he and his crew use to gather information and keep it organized for easy access with a minimum of effort.

This workshop is part of a beginning farmer series planned by the Iowa Valley Resource Conservation and Development in partnership with Practical Farmers of Iowa. All six workshops are meant to help beginning farmers answer the important questions and make sound decisions as they start a new farm business.

The workshops are part of the Local Food Producer Education and Training Program of the Iowa Corridor Food and Agriculture Coalition. The Coalition is a diverse group of organizations, agencies, and community members from the Iowa Corridor Region that includes Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, Tama, Poweshiek, Washington, Cedar and Jones counties.

There is a fee for the workshops and attendance is limited so please register ahead.
