The Iowa Learning Farms’ July webinar, will feature young farmer Nathan Anderson.

Anderson is from Cherokee, who farms with his wife Sarah and family. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2010 with a degree in agronomy. He is a Cherokee County Soil and Water District commissioner, involved in Practical Farmers of Iowa and other community and agricultural organizations.

Nathan will be sharing his presentation that he initially gave at the 2012 Iowa Water Conference entitled “Visioning Long-Term Sustainability: A Farmer’s Perspective.” His webinar will inspire discussion and hopefully promote a thoughtful process to address current concerns and provide input for agriculture’s future and direction.

The webinar is part of a series, hosted by ILF, held on the third Wednesday of each month. The webinars are held over the noon hour through Adobe Connect. All that is needed to participate is a computer with Internet access. The topics discussed will be beneficial for technical service providers, watershed project coordinators, Extension specialists and anyone else interested in the topic of the month.
