The event will include a tour of town art ranging from Coon Rapids' monumental Hybrid Icons installed by Iowa’s premier public artist David Dahlquist, to a variety of local pieces using local materials (think corn-planter plates!). On Saturday will be the community's annual Raccoon River Art Fair, featuring music, local food and home-grown fine art.

Featured participants include

  • Melinda Childs, Forecast Public Art
  • John Davis, director of the Arts Center from the thriving town of Lanesboro, MN (pop. 754).
  • Connie Goeken from the Spencer, Iowa, arts movement
  • Ron Kopeska, from the Franconia Sculpture Park
