The conference will offer several workshops and panel discussions for women landowners on topics such as using leases, setting rent, fencing and drainage issues, land stewardship, dealing with wind energy developers, and how to work productively with tenants.
The conference is intended especially for non-operator women landowners who work with tenant farmers to manage their farmland.
It is hosted by the Women, Food and Agriculture Network and funded by a grant from the USDA. Registration feeis $15 before Feb. 24 or $20 at the door. Lunch and materials are provided.
