Pasturing Walk: Managing Timbered Pastures

This field day is hosted by Northeast Iowa Graziers. Discussion topics will include management strategies for pasturing around timbered areas, pasture management and improvement, and grazing management. Speakers include Jim Ranum, retired NRCS grazing specialist, Dave Asche, Iowa DNR forester, and Denise Schwab, ISU Extension beef specialist.

Directions to the farm: From the south, take state Route 76 heading north. Just before reaching Dorchester take County Road A16 (a paved road) west, for about 3.5 miles and turn right (north) onto Bee Road. Go about one-quarter mile; the farm driveway will be on the left.
