In the last decade the Policy Initiative has funded a variety of projects that expand the knowledge, discussion and options available to expand sustainability in Iowa agriculture. Among the policy topics considered are impacts of certain Farm Bill provisions, work with beginning farmers, bioenergy prospects, risk insurance, and farm land tenure issues. The initiative promotes collection and analysis of information, but does not engage in advocacy activities.
