Food system maps, gaps, and linkages

System maps are used to describe both the facts and relationships that make up local food systems in several western Iowa counties. Maps completed so far have revealed gaps and begun to define issues and create new linkages within these rural communities. These maps also will be brought together and analyzed for insights important to developing stronger value connections to strengthen both the social networks and technical framework for further development of local food work.
