Paul W. Johnson Legacy Launch
Thursday, December 2, 2021 - 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
The public is invited to a special event in honor of the memory and legacy of Iowa conservation leader Paul W. Johnson. Presenters will include Senator Tom Harkin.
Family, friends and colleagues of Paul W. Johnson have come together to honor Paul and his work to advance a private land ethic as part of policy, practice, research and education. A private land ethic builds upon the work of Aldo Leopold and other environmentalists, with a specific focus upon the role of private lands directed to agriculture in supporting that ethic.
Register for the Paul W, Johnson Legacy Launch. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.
A diverse set of sponsors include the Harkin Institute, the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture, the Iowa Nutrient Research Center, the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Drake University Agricultural Law Center, Iowa Farmers Union, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Sustainable Iowa Land Trust, the Land Institute and the Savanna Institute.
